I applied under History and International Relations. Does anyone watch Stranger Things? I just found out that the actor who plays Hopper went to Dartmouth!
Hi! I’ve been reading this thread, and I applied ED under a political science major. I just called the office of undergrad admissions, and they said they will not release a day they are announcing decisions… I wish they would!
I also called them. They are not sending any email for date notification but we all should expect an email by Dec 15th related to the decision. It will also be available on portal.
Just called admissions and was told that decisions will be released later this week. Emails will be sent out today or tomorrow.
Hi, I am an ED applicant and recruited for athlete for Dartmouth. The swim and dive coach has written me a letter of recommendation to help me get in, and he has said that he believes we will find out notification sometime on December 14th or 15th. Hope that helps yall out.
Thank you!
Guys, I read somewhere the release date will be 12/14 at 4:00 P.M. Is this true?
I applied as a Gov major.
Just something I noticed, but all the other Ivy pages on CC have much more active ED threads… are there just fewer people who apply to Dartmouth ED? Or are we less anxious about it (I don’t think I am!) … ?
@politicsdancegal I remember seeing somewhere that in the context of all the Ivies Dartmouth usually has much lower application numbers as a whole (ED+Regular) than any of the other Ivy League schools…so that might contribute as to why there isn’t as much activity on this thread. And lol I doubt it’s because we’re less anxious about it…
For financial aid, was the IDOC and Noncustodial parent’s profile supposed to be submitted already?
If you are applying ED, yes, your idoc was supposed to be in by 11/15 (It says this on the admissions website). Presumably your acceptance comes with whatever financial offer they’re making, so yes, they would have to have all your documents submitted already.
I said I was applying for financial aid on common app but missed the deadline and haven’t submitted. Do you think this would this affect my decision at all?
Guys we’re getting so close.
In theory, you can be accepted without a financial aid offer. I think there is enough need out there, and people submitting their paperwork on time, that schools are not always nice about extending deadlines and/or reconsidering financial offers after funds have been allocated to others. Who knows. We’ve been told that schools do not budge in their deadlines. That’s up to the office of financial aid if you get in.
Does anyone else think they might cry if they get rejected
No, there are other great schools, and we’ve ALL worked hard and are good applicants
Also I applied under sustainability and theatre
Does anyone else think they might cry if they get ACCEPTED?
Definitely will cry if I get accepted.
& I applied under Gov. and Theatre.
Did you send in a supplement for theatre?
does anyone think they might die of old age before these decisions come in
