By “after 4PM” they mean exactly 4PM right ;-; it’s too cruel to just give a tentative time
So they can do anytime after 4? Does that mean right at 4? Ugh–kind of mean
They’ll probably release the decision at 4 pm, since that’s what they’ve done in the past. I’ve heard that occasionally there’s a bit of a lag in opening the decision since so many kids are logging on at the same time (I think Harvard’s website crashed last year when they released EA decisions). Wait 15 minutes if you can!
Waiting to hear back from your ED is awful— you couldn’t pay me to relive that. Hang in there, and remember there are plenty of schools where you would succeed, thrive, and be happy!
my dad told me i have to wait until he gets home to open the decision-- 10:30 pm it is
Announcement over email given that 4:00 on the 14th is when decisions are given out.
I just wanted to wish everyone the best of luck. I know the wait is brutal, but it’s only two more days. The admissions officers are literally triple-checking everything right now, so hang in there!!!
Finally got the email! Wish everyone the best of luck. About two days left!
I just want to know so I can move on with my life. Who can relate?
Ugh Dartmouth has a date now. Sorry, I’m stopping by from the Brown ED group lol. We still don’t know…Good luck guys!!!
Good luck everyone!! Just remember: if you don’t get into Dartmouth, everything will still turn out okay. There are plenty of schools out there that are just as good. All of us have worked really hard to get where we are, and I promise that it WILL pay off, no matter what school we end up at!
Anyone else apply for biomedical engineering?
Ugh why can’t we just find out like tomorrow what the decisions are lol
I’m an international applicant and I think I am the only applicant for Dartmouth in my country … Is this a good thing?
Are u from Korea?
I thought last year, 11 Korean students attended Dartmouth
yes I’m from Korea. I’m surprised at the exact number! I thought that I might me the only applicant because there are only few high schools that apply for American universities and I heard that there aren’t any applicants from some of those schools. Maybe my assumption was wrong. But I think the number you gave includes the students who applied for Regulars. I saw a lot of my upperclassman applying Dartmouth for Regular but not Early. Don’t know why though.
Still thanks for your reply!
No matter what we have all worked so hard to get where we are. I know all of us want this so badly, but if it doesn’t work out, it wasn’t meant to be, and another amazing college was meant to be. I think the best thing we can do for ourselves right now is to focus on living the rest of our lives which don’t go on pause. This wait is cruel and the best thing is to just carry on with our normal everyday lives and hope for the best. Wish everyone luck
Seungheehan1, I think it has something to do with Dartmouth’s small scale. I mean, they accept very few applicants (in regards of the absolute number) and people want to take advantage of ED and end the application early. So it’ll be terrible if a swarm of people head for Dartmouth ED… They can just choose another great school that takes more applicants–unless Dartmouth is really a fit for them and they don’t want to let go! At least, this is the case in my high school
@Seungheehan1, I know several of my friends living in Korea who are applying. Anyways good luck with your app!
@Seungheehan1 hey I actually wanted to ask you if you are Korean cuz your name tells haha. I am Korean and applied to Dartmouth ED!
Oh hi! So nice to meet another Korean applying! Hope we meet at Dartmouth!
