Thank you. And to you.
No, the way I understand it is not every applicant is interviewed. It’s a small school with a small (but committed) alumni network and there has to be an alum willing and able to conduct interviews in your geography.

Anyone have guesstimate when ED decisions will be released. In prior years it seems the Friday in mid-December so expecting 12/15 this year?
i think it’s usually on Thursday evening.
I logged into my Dartmouth portal this morning and it’s completely changed. Grey banner on top, very basic layout, not like it was before at all. Any ideas why it’s changed? My IDOC forms show “all received” but no dates are listed. Again, it’s just very stark/basic looking compared to what it had been. Did anyone else’s change?
I saw 12/13 at 4pm on a college prep website but I’m not sure how reputable it is.
My portal still has the same green+white color scheme, but all of my IDOC forms did suddenly show up yesterday (but without any dates of receival).
Thank you for your reply. Mine is back to normal now too. Maybe I just happened to log-in during an update.
Still no word on official notification date but likely it’s about 14-16 days out?
Does anyone know how Dartmouth announces the date? Through email? Portal? Social media?
If they do it with other Ivies (I think so?) it should be the evening of the 14th (Thursday night per previous years).
Last year they did not do ED release with the other Ivies (day after most of them although several days before Brown), and I actually don’t think they did the same day as the others the year before that either.
I recall someone saying that Dartmouth shared on Instagram the past few years what the day and time would be. They may share it other ways as well, but Instagram seems to be one way that they share the info…last year they shared that info 2 days before the actual release.
This thread is so quiet considering how close we are to decision time. How’s everyone feeling?
So quiet…
We’re feeling…realistic. We are expecting a deferral. We’d be thrilled with an acceptance and very disappointed with a straight up reject.
Aside from wanting the best possible outcome from Dartmouth( ), I’m so curious to see how the early decision cycle shakes out across the spectrum. Considering how the class of 2024 started high school in a pandemic, the Supreme Court ruling, and Cornell pulling the rug out from ED kids, we could be in for some surprises in application/acceptance trends.
Yes, so many moving parts. Who knows how it will turn out. I do think total application volume is flattish relative to last year.
I wonder how many other schools are “pulling the Cornell rug” but just not announcing it? And we’ll just see it when they announce their ED class profile?
Yeah I wonder the same thing, that maybe Cornell just oopsed and said the quiet part out loud.
