@ahw2020 Interesting, I never thought about that. The new review process combined with the campus political situation could lead to them accepting 500 something applicants instead of the usual ~480. But this is all gross speculation, we can’t say anything for sure.
Anyone got any ideas to make the wait more bearable?
Did anyone here apply early action to anywhere else? Even if this doesn’t work out, we’ll always have that to look to.
I applied EA to UChicago just in case.
I applied EA to UChicago too.
I’ll likely apply RD to UChicago (and Amherst, Swarthmore, Williams, Harvard, Pomona, Stanford, etc.) if I’m deferred/rejected from Dartmouth, but so far I’ve applied to my State Flagship, Fordham, and Case Western.
@SirPepsi I’ve applied to Fordham too! They actually sent me a likely, so that’s the only school I’ve heard back from :">
I’ve applied to UChicago, Northeastern, Rutgers, Bard, and Tulane. Bard is the only school I’ve heard back from, but they won’t give me any idea of what my aid package will look like until April.
Those of you applying to UChicago, when do you guys think decisions will be out?
@simonbolivar I think it’s December 16th?
People are saying Chicago’s decisions will be released on the 16th, but it’s all speculation.
A girl is in danger, and to save her you must say her name three times loudly. Unfortunately, you don’t know it. You happen across a hermit and, looking distraught, continue walking, ignoring him. He asks you why you appear troubled, and you answer. Suddenly he grins and gives you the following:
A dance, a sport, a place to stay, a country, and ___________.
What does he give you? What’s the girl’s name?
Dartmouth still hasn’t asked for anyone’s first quarter grades, right?
Not mine.
I called and they said that they weren’t necessary.
Do you think they’ll still be considered if we sent them?
@SirPepsi I heard something like that before but it was a bit more specific. I looked it up and it was a smooth dance, a ball sport, a place to stay, an Asian country, and a girl’s name. Then it’s a bit more clear what the riddle is.
And I wasn’t asked for first quarter grades either.
Aaaaand they didn’t email us the notification date today as some of us were guessing.
I uploaded my first quarter grades anyways
