Does applying for financial aid affect whether or not you get into Dartmouth?
http://admissions.dartmouth.edu/facts-advice/faqs:
Is Dartmouth “need-blind” or “need-aware” in its admissions process?
Dartmouth practices need-blind admissions for all applicants who are U.S. citizens, eligible non-citizens, and undocumented students in the U.S. These applicants are admitted to the College without regard to their financial circumstances. For international students, financial need is taken into consideration as one of many factors at the time of admission.
What does “need-blind” mean?
Need-blind means that a candidate’s financial need is not considered during the application review process.
