So, I just got a call from my local alumnus and scheduled an interview. Apparently Dartmouth tends to interview in teams. What do the experienced folk on this website know about being interviewed by more than one person at once?

News to me as we are also from NYC and daughter did not have a team interview las year.

i almost had a team interview, but then one of the guys couldn't come...from what i've heard from friends, having 2 interviewers makes it more relaxed, informal, and conversation-like, and it's actually a plus. i thought it might be intimidating, but apparently it's not at all. the interview doesn't matter that much anyway...it's mostly for the alums to stay connected to their school by meeting the seniors who are interested in Dartmouth.

hmm..i just had one guy who came over

Never even heard of a team interview for dartmouth

Did my interview like two weeks ago for them and it was just 1 guy

I supppose it's just something they do in my district.

no, my friend just had a team interview and she lives in VA

I had a team interview up here in Maine.

nope im from ny and i didnt have a team interview

Whereaboouts in Maine do you live, Elizabeth? I have a place near Dexter.

I had a "team interview" and agree with everything beatty said about the experience. I know that in my area last year two of my friends has "team interviews" as well. I live in the pacific northwest.

Do you all really think it's insignificant?

i've never heard of a team interview. i had an on campus and alumna interview.

Bangkok, Thailand and no team interviews. The interview probably doesn't have much weight in the admissions process but I know the dude was filling out this form called "Form 6" and he asked the questions on the form one after the other.

I actually didn't have an interview. Someone e-mailed me and told me that I would be contacted for an interview, but I never heard anything after that. I got in Early Decision. I think the interview might be considered, but obviously it doesn't have a tremendous amount of weight.
