I’d say Brown is probably one of the most liberal and and Dartmouth is probably one of the most conservative (lots of libertarians, too). It is important to note, however, that all schools in the Ivy League are decidedly liberal; the difference is that Dartmouth has (it would seem) a more vocal conservative minority (The Dartmouth Review) and Brown a more activist liberal majority.

I’d say the following thread is pretty accurate, though I’ve never heard of The Beacon:

Thanks, that’s what I was looking for.

The conservatives sure do make campus life interesting. No seriously, I would not want a campus with no political diversity at all.

I love all diversity. I am glad Dartmouth has a vocal conservative group.

As a moderate coming from an extremely liberal area, I really appreciate the conservative group too! :)

Would you guys say that the vocal conservatives on campus outnumber the crunchier liberal students?

No- in my opinion more crunchy liberal types. I would say dartmouth is decidedly liberal with a great majority being “obama decomcrats.” That said, as mentioned above there is a vocal conservative minority (say 10-15% of students). But its much more a libertarian conservative perspective than traditional conservative.

Well, conservatives are present at Dartmouth and are speaking (singing??), okay, rapping:

^ Haha, thanks for both answers. That video was, well… interesting!
