Dartmouth or Stanford's waitlist

My question is what the title implies. I got waitlisted to Stanford, and now I don't know whether I should just say screw it and accept Dartmouth or if I should try to get off of Stanford's waitlist. Financial aid is also going to be a bit of an issue and Tulane is offering me 49k a year to go there so that's also becoming a factor but I have yet to receive my financial aid package from Dartmouth. Ah I have no idea what I'm going to do.

You can accept Dartmouth’s offer and simultaneously stay on the Stanford waitlist. If you opt to go to Stanford after accepting Dartmouth’s offer, you lose the tuition deposit you gave to Dartmouth. If you rally want to go to Stanford, it shouldn’t be an issue.

Of course you have no idea what to do; you’re still waiting for Dartmouth’s FA package. It’s really rather simple:

Stay on Stanford’s WL

Get info from Dartmouth

Decide between Tulane and Dartmouth

If you are eventually accepted to Stanford, decide between Dartmouth and Stanford.

Seems pretty simple – at this point – to me. Later, maybe not so much.

Visit Tulane immediately: full ride (no loans) plus warm weather is a very nice package.

a bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

I would recommend you stay on, though, you can change later if you want to. It’ll just cost you the deposit. :P

My sister saw her financial aid award from Dartmouth online the day the decisions came up…were you not able to access the link?
