I was accepted from the waitlist today at about 4pm EST, so I'm assuming that they've moved on to the summer round of admissions. They called and sent an email, so keep checking your inboxes!

Congratulations to you sir (or ma’am)

me too! just wondering: do you think you’ll say yes? where did you put your deposit down?

I put my deposit down on the University of Florida because I couldn’t afford to go anywhere else. I got my Financial Aid from Dartmouth today, and I really can’t afford to go to Dartmouth either. But, I think I’m gonna go anyway. I regretted turning down other schools to go to UF just for financial reasons, and it was a mistake that I don’t want to repeat.

What about you?

^ What other schools did you turn down

Congratulations to Poisonous! Terrific news!

congrats Poisonous and yers2! Hope to see you in the fall! :)

I put my deposit down at Wesleyan in Connecticut. I never really got to see Dartmouth (I visited and started the tour but something bit me and I had an allergic reaction and had to leave…long story) so I am going to visit Dartmouth and Wes in a couple days to help with my decision.

I got in but I’m sticking with tufts. I’ve already set my mind on it for a while and I can get just as good an education. I don’t think it’s worth changing your mind if you’ve gotten pumped for Wesleyan, that is also just as good a school.

^ This is profoundly wise advise- probably more so than you even realize.

Dear Bait:

I think you are a transfer - if I am correct, I would advise that you try not to have buyer’s remorse before you even step foot on campus - the Dartmouth you thought you applied to is indeed the Dartmouth you will be experiencing - the opportunities in and outside the class room, the faculty attention, the accepting attitude of students - all of that. It is NOT in peril nor, as some would have you think, was it really ever. Hope you really love your years at D. I think you will.
