dartmouth.

Dartmouth...................

Both would be excellent. Wash U is in St. Louis with all the big-city amenities, opportunities, parking hassles, etc. Dartmouth is in the wilds of New Hampshire with all the natural beauty, small-town charm, lack of proximity to other attractions, fiercely cold winters, etc. Which setting sounds more like you?

I honestly think Dartmouth is the better school. Between Brown and Dartmouth, Columbia and Dartmouth, Duke and Dartmouth, Penn and Dartmouth, Cornell and Dartmouth, etc - sure have these debates on location/ lifestyle. But between WUSTL and Dartmouth in my opinion its not even close. D provides an amazing academic experience/ community that WUSTL maybe is just starting to form. Dartmouth is simply a better school, my ex roommate chose it over a full ride at WUSTL.

Like slipper said, I would be hesitant to make a decision if it were like Columbia, Penn, or Duke...but in your case, I would definetely go to Dartmouth

you can go visit if you have doubts, I'm sure you'll like it, it really is a cool place (I'm talking about Dartmouth)

You know, Dartmouth and Wash U are very far away from each other. Kazoo1, which school do you live closer to? Does distance from home matter?

Actually I live close to Wash U, less than 2 hurs of driving, as compared to more than 3 hurs of flying to Dartmouth. Does distance from home matter? Yes according to my parents - they would like to have me come home or visit me often - but I am not so sure (if you know what I mean ;-)).

Dartmouth is FAR more prestigious than WASHU in St louis. WashU is typically used as a "back up" school anyway

By the way, you guys are great. I know selecing a collge is not a popularity contest. But the majority of opinions has been quite clear, so far.
