Dartmouth Social Life

Hi, I will be attending Dartmouth next year as a freshman, and I was wondering how to get really involved socially. Like what kind of activities are good ones to join and be involved in? Also, for example, what kind of activities do the girls of different houses (KKG, DDD, KDE, etc) participate in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Please no mean comments :P

Games…pong games. That’s what the girls typically do when they meet up with fraternities.

I meant more along the lines of clubs and activities not related to the frat scene.
Anyone else?

there’s actually beginning to be a huge drug problem … mostly heroin, but even weed if you find the right places.

-sigh- The views stated above are in no way representative of the general population at Dartmouth. (Also, scotchtape is a ■■■■■, look at his other posts). There are tons of events that go on at sororities (though this obviously varies by which house you’re in); however, my first hand knowledge is obviously very limited. However, if you’re interested get in contact with me and I’ll probably be able to connect you with a sister somewhere who would be able to better describe the typical sorority experience.

-spunaugle

Go do whatever activities interest you!! There are lots of singing groups, and publications, and political clubs, and lots of events at the Hop, and lots of stuff through the Dartmouth Outdoor Club, and skiing/snowboarding in the winter. If you do what interests you, you’ll meet people who interest you too.
