<p>Thank you all for your replies. I've lived in a variety of places, and for me, setting doesn't really matter all too much. If either was a southern school, I'd have picked the northern one due to the snow (<3), but since it's not the case, well, yeah. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, and I think I've made a decision. =]</p>
<p>The truth is that Dartmouth is one of the best schools in the country to go to for business (elite consulting and i-banking) placement. Its reputation is strong. In terms of placement it really is only beat by a couple schools and is essentially on par with the likes of Yale. The reason is two-fold. 1) Dartmouth has an incredible legacy in business and over years has alumni with leadership roles at major firms. 2) the D-plan. Because of sophomore summer you have to take off one term during the year, and firms create special Dartmouth only internships for this. Its amazing, you get in the door and one you're in, you're in.</p>
<p>That plus in my opinion a more intimate academic setting would make it my choice. Dartmouth excels at everything undergrad.</p>
