So if you apply by the Dec. 1st scholarship deadline do you still receive an admissions decision as early as some of the decisions are out right now even if you arent selected for any scholarships?

The only students who receive early decision letters are those that are accepted. Rejection letters go out the end of March/ early April

Thank you melopark mom..

I appreciate it. So everyone who is accepted gets a letter this early?

See post #10 for a general timeline for admissions decisions at USC:

Take some time to look at that FAQ thread for other questions you may have.

Good luck!

Nate,
Most of the acceptance letters go out in March. For various reasons some students are accepted earlier. For example, music students applying to Thornton School of Music need to audition for instrumental or voice places in the freshman class. Some of these auditions are still in the process. Those students will be informed of their admittance according to the policy of the school and the SC admissions office.

"So everyone who is accepted gets a letter this early? "
No. the ONLY students who are accepted early are those that applied before Dec 1 and received invitations to interview for one the merit scholarships OR they had had high stats and grades, and USC wanted them to know that they were accepted.

Thank you both for your replies!

i just wanted to get an overview of their admissions process..
