Living with 3 girls could be pretty bad. I don't know if I could even handle that. Well at least you know that he's not one of those "I refuse to drink or do anything illegal" types, but IDK if that's a good or bad thing.....

I'm starting to get really nervous about my new school. It seems like everyone is like really country-ish and the only radio stations to choose from are country and like actual rap. I don't know what to think. Country guys are cute (ugh one time I went on a date with one and it was a long drive to get where we were going and he had to point out all the different types of wheat and grass and tell me all about them), but I don't know if I can handle country people, country music, and cows all the time. The bad thing is that when I'm around country people, I start talking with a hillbilly accent and most of them think I'm making fun of them, but I'm really not. It's just something I can't keep from doing and I don't even realize I'm doing it.

I would rather have a nerdy kid than a rowdy ******. Last semester I had the worst roommate ever, he was dumb, ugly, loud, huge tool, and would play games until 5 am everyday on MY tv with the sound on halfway. Because of him now I suffer from clinical insomnia. Where did you transfer to?

Yeah, I kinda have to agree with you on that one. I just would hate to have someone that went to sleep at 8pm. Is it really that bad to have an ugly roommate? Are you one of those guys that think he's hot?

I transferred to the middle of nowhere. It's def not a top school, but its pharmacy school is better than OUs. I guess it's supposed to be pretty interesting there, but there isn't much there. I guess the only thing to do is become intoxicated. Oh and living in a trailer is the cool thing to do. LMAO

Look into Purdue's pharmacy school, its like 5th or something. No i dont care what they look like, I just really dislike everything he is and represents. Rich, spoiled, dumb kid who cries for attention by showing off expensive stuff and constanly lying as if he needs it like breathing air.

And no, I am not one of those people who think that I am hot.

Purdue is far away, but I have heard great things about it. I will probably only apply to schools in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas (they have a nuclear pharmacy program which I'm interested in), Nebraska, and Virginia because I want to have family halfway close to where I go. I just don't know if I'm too comfortable being away from all my family since I've always been very close to them, especially since my dad died. Aren't you pre-med?

Lol Purdue...that school makes me laugh. It's a good school, but they picked quite a bad name....

Lethargy, having somebody younger can't be so bad. Imagine how the kid must feel about having somebody older for his roomie, he must be nervous. If he's a jerk he'll think that you'll help him hook up with older women. But most likely you'll be able to assert yourself as the alpha male.

OKgirl, are you prepharmacy or are you going to get a pharm degree from your new college?

HAha alphamale, im the big dog, i am the juggernaut.

yea i'm premed+premanagement (management information system)+ minor in french.

carolina has a fabulous pharmacy program; transfer here :)

can i transfer there?

how hard do you guys think it is to maintain a gpa of at least 3.85 while having a good social life in college? and do you think dedicating a whole day to studying from all ur classes good enough time to get A's on tests,midterms,etc..

Catsushi, I also dislike that name. It's the last name of a teacher I absolutely hated because I always got in trouble with him.

Venkat, I'm still pre-pharm, but if I don't get in the year I want to, I'll get a bio degree. Ugh I'm going to have to start applying soon (I think this summer? IDK, thats the thing that sucks about applying for the spring) and I'm already getting all nervous about not getting in.

lethargy, if you are premed, you should look at SDN if you haven't already. It might be really helpful. You should be a neurologist because they are awesome. Ahhh juggernaut--I love that word.

leah, I don't have any family there and I think the pre-reqs are too different from mine.

btw, is hillbilly a rude term? What's the correct term to use?

yeah it's crazy difficult to get into the PharmD program..but of course i advise everyone to try because i'm in love with my college & i think anyone can be happy here :)

also, redneck?

fendey, you should be able to do it. I mean you might not be able to do everything, but you can still have a social life. Dedicating a whole day to studying? I'd kill myself. I think it's better to spend a little bit of time each day. That's just my opinion on the subject.

How weird is it that I don't know my GPA? I guess it's ok since some of my classes didn't transfer to my new school. Geez, I wish they'd let me see it, but noooo, they won't post it until next semester (I think).

my gpa blows. my major gpa is awesome but my science gpa sucks.

Oh gosh, my math+science isn't too great either. I think it is a 3.0, but I'm not too sure. I'm def going to try to raise it. The bad thing is that I ruined my GPA before I figured out what I wanted to do and I wasn't really into school. Now I'm like a nerd. I've got a 4.0 for spring and summer 08, so I'm really proud of myself. I just always figure things out too late. Kinda like how I bombed my first few chem tests and then I suddenly started doing much better, but it was too late to bring my grade up much.

I know this sounds really bad, but I am starting to get really competitive with my friend that also wants to go into pharm. I have helped her out a ton, which has resulted in her getting a 4.0 (she doesn't do anything in return), so I have kinda stopped giving her advice about stuff. She can figure it all out on her own. I know it seems rude and selfish, but why should I keep helping her if she's my competition?

i give wrong answers to my fellow students since every class mate is my competition, if theyre smart they wouldnt copy my wrong answers.

So it isn't *****y of me to not tell her about stuff? I just feel horrible hiding stuff from her, but at the same time, it's every man for himself. She can do her own research. Oh wait, she doesn't have to because she thinks that they have to let her in when she applies because she is a minority. ha

Have you ever shadowed someone? I'm hoping to do it sometime soon, but I have no clue what I'm supposed to do. I hate to follow someone around and get in their way.

why would you shadow if youre pharm? try to work as a pharm tech for a local pharmacy. no i havent shadowed anyone yet. next summer i might go to kenya for medical trip for like a month or two or go to boston for a cancer research facility. idk yet, most probably the former.

IDK, it's just something that some of the people do. I think I may have an awesome deal. Our insurance man also went to my school and his close friend owns an independent pharmacy so I'll probably try to see what I can do sometime soon. IDK I'm just tired of working all the time. I've pretty much had a job since I was 12 and it sucks.

Gah, Kenya or cancer research? Where do you come up with this stuff Mr. Save the World? lol
