FSU was never on her list and she did not apply there.</p>
<p>Very similar dynamic in our house, but opposite initial opinion by son. Boatload of Gators in the family. Lifelong desire of son to be a Gator (obviously reinforced by recent successes). Army ROTC scholarship in the pocket, so no worries on where he could go. Accepted multiple places…including UF… we visited them all. In the end he chose VaTech for civil engineering and will be joining the Corps of Cadets. So it can go both ways.</p>
<p>The choice to grab a seat at the Gator Nation can not be questioned. Any other choice not so including so-called elite private schoools north of the border.</p>
