Day in the Life

Hi, has anyone participated in the Day in the Life program at Bucknell? Was it worthwhile? I’m particularly interested in whether you are assigned to a student who goes from class to class with you or just expected to go from place to place alone? Thanks in advance.

I’m doing one of these soon so I would like to know as well.

@squirg @4mm4mm I participated in one last year and it was a great experience. You start the day by going on an extremely personalized tour (there were 3 other perspective students and 3 current students). Then, depending on your major interests, they will send you off to meet for about an hour with a professor in your major. It’s a pretty informal conversation- make sure to take notes and ask any questions that come up. After this, you’ll walk over to the dining hall where you’ll eat lunch with a couple of the other “Day in the Life” students as well as a few current students. This is the best time to ask anything that you want to know about social life, greek life, clubs, sports, etc. at Bucknell. You’ll finish the day by attending either a 100 or 200 level class in the major/school that you’re interested in.

Thank you for the response! Did you wind up attending Bucknell?

@Squirg I’m actually a senior so I’ll be applying this year hahaha
