Would it be way over one's head to attempt a double major in physics and economics at Chicago?

For funsies, I worked this out. Your schedule, if it's even possible, would look something like this:

Year One
Math x 3
Phys x 3
Hum x 3
Lang x 3 (Unless you meet requirements)

Year Two
Math x 3
Phys x 3
Econ x 2, Stat x 1
Soc x 3

Year 3
Phys x 3
Econ x 3
Civ x 2, Art x 1
Bio x 2, Math x 1

Year 4
Phys x 3
Econ x 4
Elective x 5

You can mess around with it a little bit, but it's pretty clear that a double major like that 1)won't leave a lot of electives and 2)will probably give you scheduling nightmares.

Hmm...thanks for working that out :-)

The only thing that might make it easier is the fact that i'm taking 3rd and 4th semester calculus at MSU this year, so hopefully i would not have to take any of that at Chicago. And also, i'll hopefully be able to pass out of a few classes thanks to AP scores.

All in all, i guess i'd be better off doing a minor instead of the 2nd major.

I also considering double-majoring in Physics and Econ if I go to Chicago. Lol thanks for working all that out Zach.
