De Anza TAG with UC Irvine

This year is my first year at De Anza community college (Monday I will begin my third quarter).

By the end of this quarter, I will have 43 quarter units completed.

On the De Anza site, under the UC Irvine tag, it states:

"Minimum number of UC-transferable units required to sign TAG: 45 quarter units must be completed prior to writing the TAG.

Minimum number of UC-transferable units required to complete TAG: 90 quarter units must be completed by the end of spring prior to fall transfer."

So assuming I want to sign the TAG during fall of 2011, I will still have only 43 units (unless I take classes this summer). Will I be unable to sign the tag?

And if I want to complete the TAG by Spring of 2012, but will only have 85 units, but want to take 2 classes that summer (Summer of 2012, right before I transfer), will I be unable to do that?

you’ll need to reschedule those 2 summer classes you have planned for 2012 before the summer quarter.

One of them is a required math. I’ll have to take two extra classes then during the year (before the summer quarter).

I can still take the math class in the summer though right (given I already have 90 transferable units)?

the schools will want it done before then. take the placement test and see if you can test into a higher math class.

Not gonna happen, in all honesty. I haven’t taken a math class in over a year, and I have a day before the quarter starts. So pretty much, there’s no way for me to get out of community college in 2 years (total 2 years).

whats your major?

Business/Econ

Why not take as many classes this summer as you can?
