DE Transcripts

Has anyone’s student submitted DE transcripts? DS was told they are required with application (in addition to showing them on SPARK). Seven weeks later, there is no line-item on checklist that indicates “transcripts”. Wondering if they should be showing, or if it’s just these three for everyone.

Not entirely sure how UCF handles dual enrollment, but when I applies to the University of Michigan, I sent my transcript from my DE college to U of M and I got an email saying they had been downloaded. However, nothing in my applicant portal showed a second transcript being received beyond my high school transcript. Would be best to email admissions to check.

I didn’t realize we needed to send DE transcripts to UCF for the initial application(!).

Are dual enrollment college transcripts required for freshman admission?

If you completed dual enrollment coursework while in high school, official copies of your college transcripts(s) are NOT required at the time of application or for an admission decision. Upon graduation from high school, official final transcripts from all post-secondary institutions showing grades for dual enrollment coursework will be due to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Yes we saw that yesterday. It originally said that any “college credits” must have transcript sent with application. They added the FAQ about DE just recently - weeks after he submitted and wasted $$ paying for transcripts.

I am guessing they won’t show them on FutureKnight since they are not “final”.

Note: He called end of August to be sure those transcripts were received, and admissions told him “yep, we have everything we need” lol. You’d think they would have mentioned it.

Ugh! How frustrating. I called today too, and the student call-taker contradicted the information on their website. So far, I have been less than impressed by the way they handle questions from prospective parents and students.

Have you gotten any more insights on whether or not transcripts for DE are needed now?

Yes, apparently they do not need them until later (just like final transcripts in the case that you commit). My daughter was admitted last week for next fall; she did not send (any) transcripts.

Just a follow-up…when he received his acceptance, the transfer credits immediately showed up in the myUCF. The first college (AA) shows as “final transcript received” and the second one shows classes he’s currently taking/completed and requests a “final” transcript in May. They needed syllabi for some courses and it takes time to approve those.
