So I submitted all my credentials for Brown on time but paid for the fee waiver through a credit card. Common app says that when you use a credit card it takes a couple days to process and the school may or may not receive your application until then. But Brown’s website says to submit the supplement first (like I did) then the common app and payment and just make sure to do it before the 11:59 deadline. Do you think that brown won’t get my application on time? I really hope I’m not penalized for this. Did anyone submit their payments long before the deadline and I just didn’t?

As per this thread (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/1267933-im-having-heart-attack-freaking-out.html), other applicants are in the same situation. Don’t worry about it. It will likely be fine, and you can’t change what’s already happened.

What do you mean “likely be fine”? People have been applying to colleges for decades and no one has a definite answer to this dilemma? There’s gotta be someone who has been in this situation before.

I just submitted my payment, supplement and common app and all the dates next to them say received 1/1/2011 :)

Tell me about. I was the OP of the (I’m having a HEART attack. Freaking out!).

It doesn’t mean Brown will process them. :-/

I sent in apps for some schools due on 12/1 right before the deadline and they were fine sooo I’m guessing it should be okay for Brown too.

Pinklover,

I also sent in my application, supplement, and payment last night and all of them said received by 1/1 so I don’t see why everyone else is freaking out about this. Maybe it’s the nerves because I am worried now that my applications have been sent out.
