<p>i'm kinda new to this posting stuff so i hope someone can answer this question for me:</p>
<p>I applied to brown on saturday (jan 1st) but I submitted the common app and payment exactly at 12:00 (or 12:01). It still says "submitted on 01/02/2011"</p>
<p>i know it was careless but am i safe if I got my teacher recommendations and supplements in on time? (I submitted them at 11:50)</p>
<p>You’re fine - if you could submit the form then it will be accepted by Brown as an on-time app.</p>
<p>i’m a lil nervous because the “submitted” has not turned into “downloaded”
maybe I’m just being paranoid…</p>
<p>They wouldn’t be downloading on a Sunday - please realize that they’re people too and attempt to enjoy their holidays. This is the busiest time of the year for the admissions office, so it may be a few days until they download. Take a look at the Brown forum to see all the people in your same situation.</p>
<p>okay, so i checked again, and it says “downloaded 01/03/2011” meaning they have received it!
however…will they throw me to the end of the pile or will I be given low priority during the admissions process for submitting a day (really, only a minute) late?
I know many people ask this question, however I am mainly concerned with brown’s way of handling a situation like mine.
Has anyone gone through this with brown and maybe got in even if the submission was late?</p>
