does anyone know if december is the last month to take SAT IIs, or can we also take them in january if we have a special reason?

the SAT IIs are tomorrow

yeah I know, I've just had family issues the last few weeks and was wondering if I could take them in january instead. I'm registered for tomorrow anyhow.

The Harvard website says that January is the latest test date for SATII. So I guess that's ok.

re. jan tests: if i get deferred EA, can i submit new scores from a january test if i've improved my reasoning test.

If I can, is it worth it? At the moment i have a 680 on writing (much lower than my maths and C.R. scores), say i boosted this to a 750... is there any point?

LadyLou, I have the same problem as you. I scored low on writing but almost perfect on CR and math. I think you should caution about retaking SAT I; because some of my friends scored higher on writing but worse on both the other 2 sections on their 2nd try. Harvard says that the highest SAT scores will be taken; however, I'm not sure if Harvard takes composite scores.

Harvard takes the highest scores for each section of the SAT I. It doesn't matter if you scored lower on a section on a second trial. So, retaking would be beneficial. I plan on retaking SAT IIs if deferred.
