How did you deal with frustration? I will give you the perfect example: I am in an Optimization class where we are doing Linear Programming. We had a quiz today where we had to solve an Optimization problem using our own laptops.

As any Engineering class, super stressful, most people look at the problem and are like what? Anyways, I happen to be sitting near a Chinese kid and we naturally start to help each other. He understands the code and the Math but does not know how to run Matlab and Gusek. I don't understand the code but I know how to run both Gusek and Matlab

Anyways, we finally come up with some decent code, I press Run and get some error. Another what?? moment. I asked the professor if he could help. He looks at my code and says "Well, the code is correct but you don't have the Optimization add-on installed, so it is not going to work". I have a Matlab from 2013 and it was never mentioned that we needed the Optimization add-on, I almost flipped out.

Anyways, he tells me to bring the code to the TA office after class. I work 20 hours and don't have anytime between classes to go to a TA office so after all this work, I had to get no credit for this after all the stress and the BS.

Honestly, right now, with 3 semesters left, I just want to be done. I don't really get any "satisfaction" from any Engineering classes. I am very burned out but it is too late to quit or give up, so I will just keep going.

Often I find myself questioning my sanity and the sanity of people who put themselves through this but I can't say I have any regrets, overall, it has been a very strange, highly stressful and often unpleasant experience.
