So I know that the cutoff GPA for the dean's list is 3.6, and I know that my own GPA for last semester was well above that, but Columbia has not in any way notified me to tell me that I am/was on the dean's list. So here I am, trying to make a resume and wanting to put down "Dean's list Fall 2010", but feeling sketchy about doing it because I have no confirmation of it from the school itself. Is it calculated every year, maybe (rather than every semester)? Or should I just assume I'm on it and that Columbia never tells anyone anything?

^ you need a minimum of 3.6 AND 15? credits in that semester, otherwise no deans list, did you have both?

Damn! One credit short, apparently. Thanks for clearing that up!

Wait, is it actually 15 credits? According to the advising website, it’s “12 or more points of letter credit” for CC. Did you take a class P/D/F, OP?

And this may sound really silly, but you said Columbia hasn’t “notified” you in any way. You actually don’t get notified if you get on the Dean’s List–it just shows up on your transcript and on SSOL. Have you checked both those places?

I took all of my classes for credit…Oh wow. Just checked my SSOL, it says Dean’s List there…I feel like an idiot. Thanks so much, demeter!
