<p>I submitted my complete honors application for Dean's Scholars at UT Austin on October 12th, which was 3 days before the priority deadline. One of my friends had submitted his at the beginning of October and he already got his decision. Does the honors program have rolling admission so I would get my decision in a couple of weeks? Or does this mean I'm "deferred" in a way? My online status says they're reviewing my honors app but it has said that for more or less 10 days after I got my major. Has anyone else who applied before the priority deadline gotten their decision?</p>

Does anybody know if they send decisions in the mail only or do they also tell you on mystatus.?

@rafita decisions on whether you get into your major are on mystatus. usually once that is posted, you will get a letter and banner in the mail

Hi everyone, although my D has committed to attend Duke (and withdrawn her other applications) after being accepted during the ED round, I’m sharing some information here in case it might help.
My D was auto admit to UT-Austin. She submitted her UT application in late August. Although her “status” on the website reflected her auto admission not long after her application was complete (once all her essays, scores, and (most important reflecting her rank) transcript were received), she did not receive her official admission to her major until mid-December. That appeared on the UT website, followed by a letter from UT.
Her applications to Plan II and Dean’s Scholars were complete by 10/2/14, only after the last of her letters of recommendations were submitted to Dean’s Scholars.
She received a letter dated 12/16/14 (days after hearing from Duke on 12/11/14) informing her of her acceptance into Dean’s Scholars but has not to date received anything from Plan II. The acceptance to Dean’s Scholars is not reflected on the UT website. She knows of a couple of classmates who have been accepted to Plan II. She does not known of anyone else who has been accepted to Dean’s Scholars, but the notification came shortly before Winter Break.
