who is mollie?

^^Check some of the other MIT threads and you'll see prominent displays of Mollie's knowledge about MIT. I think she's the guardian angel of sorts for aspiring applicants.

I have met Mollie in person. It's not an on-line act. She is as smart, nice, and helpful in real life as she is here.

Oh, guys, I'm blushing. Like, a lot.

From what I've read and seen, I can't stop admiring you....And we share sth in common...and that is ----I too am born on 4th of Feb!!!

You and me and Matt McGann. :)

Wait wait wait...you mean you and Matt have the same birthday AND wedding anniversary? Cuz that's CRAZY!

lol 10 char

What, you haven't seen the only chances thread in which I've ever participated?

MIT Admissions | Blog Entry: "A 'Chances' Thread That Is Actually Worth Reading"

Matt also proposed to his wife about 18 hours before Adam proposed to me, so we don't share an engagement anniversary, but we got engaged within the same 24-hr. period. :)

The OP read my mind and made this thread. I just didn't want to.

i also want to say thank u mollie for the thousand times u have helped without even knowing me!!how do u know all this stuff??do u study work for the MIT??

Well, I've been on CC for four and a half years now, so a lot of the questions that are asked now have been asked in past admissions cycles.

I also used to be a blogger for the admissions office (my blog is here), and the summer after I graduated, I worked with Ben and Matt for a month, transferring the admissions website from its old home to its new home. In the process, I read all of the blog entries that were on the site at that time, and since I have a good memory, I can generally remember where to find information that the admissions officers have posted on their blogs.

I have never been a reader, nor an admissions officer, so everything I say regarding admissions is either gleaned from the blogs or from discussions I've had with Ben and Matt. I do not claim any particular authority for myself. I just tell the tale that I heard told.

Happy B'day Mollie! U r so sweet! :)
