December 10th, 2011 ACT Score Predictions

First time junior here…

Optimistic:

E: 36 (EASY, checked 7 times no lie)
M: 35 (Easier than I thought; very surprised!)
R: 35 (Not too bad)
S: 32 (The worst, but I’m counting on my powers of intuition.)
Composite: 35

Pessimistic:

E: 35 (stupid mistake?)
M: 32 (stupid mistakes.)
R: 33 (stupid mistakes.)
S: 28 (insert swear word here!!!)
Composite: 32 (what I need)

This was my first real ACT

English: 32
Math: 31
Reading: 29
Science: 25

Math and English were so easy, and Reading was OK… but I have no clue what that Science was. Probably messed up my whole score! :/

How do they curve it?

The math was DEFINITELY way easier than usual… but the science I think may have killed it for me

English: 34-36
Math: 32-33
Reading: 32-36
Science: 34-36

Composite: 33-35

I’m actually excited about getting my score. Dec. 27th: DON’T BE LATE! ;)

I am too! Hoping for the best!

I just have some questions, how the heck do you guys score so high. I really want to get a high score, but I don’t really know how to study for it. My school isn’t really good at training you for the act. What books or websites are the best? My highest score was a Composite of 24; English:22 Math:21 Reading:28 Science:23. I have never been good at english, even though I speak it. Every time I learn grammer I forget it immediately, which really sucks. I should definitely score higher on the math this time. I absolutely hate the science portion, I don’t get it, the whole time I’m guessing. I’m a junior in high school.

You’d probably be better at the SAT.

I’m going to take the SAT too.

Most people would say that the SAT is harder than the ACT. In terms of English, they’re fairly balanced, but the SAT won’t really ask you about structure, but will have trickier sentences with proven and tested patterns of grammar rules.

Math: SAT is like almost like a logic test at some parts. ACT is easier and more straightforward hands down.

Reading: SAT gives you plenty of time to read and asks less generalized/inferential questions than the ACT does. Analysis tends to be on the moderate side, and vocabulary…well, everyone knows how SAT vocab is like.

Science: Doesn’t exist on the SAT. In the math section, there are some really simplistic graphs, but that’s about it.

English: 32-36
Reading: 32-36
Math: 32-36
Science: *** sooooo hard like a 26-30? how many can you get wrong and still get a 30 on average?

Thanks Thesmiter.

Possibly a 30 composite. I felt really good taking this test, and I’m hoping I didn’t jinx myself. My head was more in it this time.

I’m a junior going to school in arkansas. I took the ACT twice last year and made a 28 both times…:(

1st time: English: 29
Math: 24
Reading:33
Science:24

2nd time: English: 31
Math : 26
Reading:29
Science:26

This time I hope to do a lot better b/c I had the exact same reading/english (and probably math and science, i dont remember) passages that I had when I took it in OCT 2010 (1st time)! How Can that happen?
So i’m expecting
English: 32-36
Math: 28-32
Reading:34-36
Science:26-30 (still found it hard!)
Composite: 30-33

Hoping for the best!

A week until score reports come out…

EXCITED :D

My second time taking the ACT

English-[30+] Ridiculously easy!

Math- [28]- I know a got a few wrong for sure but overall easy

Reading- [1-36]- Lol, i thought it was easy, but I’m not sure anymore

Science- [25]- Ridiculously hard!

Writing- Topic was really easy, not worried at all about this section

somehow mine just came in the mail today!

^^^^^ What state do you live in?.. I am wondering if you live in Iowa if you get your scores quicker b/c that’s where the ACT headquaters is… I will get THAT mailman…

I’m upset that i didn’t choose the mail home option because a lot of people have been getting theirs today. Shouldn’t online be faster?

The science was super **, I work well with graphs and tables but that last ACT was super .
