December 1st SAT Discussion

@exaphor
do you remember the exact question? what section was it in?

did anyone not have the crate and barrel question?

@apunia
Thank youuuu, -1 math now. Still sucks, but phew.
Wasn’t counting on missing any math (got 800 on the last 12 consecutive practice tests…)
Ughhh…

Explanation: (you dont count 10) 1+2+3+4+11+12+13+14

Anyone remember the “line y=x” intersects the graph how many times question? I put one but that’s the only one I’m not sure on (rushed).

@Niquii77 it asked for the length of the two combined segments which would be 6+6=12

@ReadLock i got two since they intersected twice…

What are you talking about?

@exaphor
same. im furious with myself for being so careless.
think it’ll be the experimental? fingers crossed!

i got 2 i am 100 percent sure on that one

Darn! I shouldn’t have rushed. That was the easiest one too… Oh well, that’s one…

for the one asking for the area of the garden was it 4300?

yes it was

@WhiteTopaz
After asking around, people with only 3 sections had that one as well (the one with barrels and median). Sadly, I don’t think it’s the experimental…
/wrist

The crate and barrel one was 2000 (choice C)
Barrels combined weighs 1200 and since 6b=c, c would weigh 7200. But since c weighs 1/9 of b, combined it only weighs 800. When added together, 1200+800=2000.
Is this right?

@exaphor

i only had 3 math and i didn’t have the barrels and median

^^ I second that. I don’t remember any questions involving crates and barrels, difficult or otherwise, and I only had three.

What did everyone get for the one where it said x was directly proportional to y and y was inversely proportional to z and z=2
and x=8 when y=4? what are y and z when x is 4?

Ostentation to humility was an answer for the a Pluto question, I’m pretty sure

What was the answer for radical | b | number line question

there were two different versions of the tests… :o
