December 2007 MATH level 2

Yeah, the pyramid one was 8.25; height was 8, half of base was 2, use Pythagorean to get the altitude.

hmm..for the question that asked which represents all points 2 units away from a line...i THINK i put a circle with radius 2, but idk. was that an option even? lol i dont remember cylinder as an option either though, maybe i put that one.

ughhhhhhh.

There was a cylinder option.. Im pretty sure it was the correct one since the question specifically said 'space' i think :</p>

alright, do you remember there being a circle option?

Yes, I'm pretty sure there was a circle option as well..

ok thanks

meh this stinks. 6 omit and 5 or 6 wrong...this is not going so well, lol. would that be around a 730 or something?

oh god...............im like u art_star!!!
but i can't get a 730!!!!!!!
ive already flunked my first one!!!!!!!!
aaaarrrrgghhhhhh

I KNOW RIGHT!!!!!! i had a 720 the first time and im going to look like a dummy if i dont get a 750+!!!

i dont know what to do!!! cancel?? but what if there's that slight chance that i did get lucky and got a 750+? questions that boggle the mind!

Hey I got a 710 the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!AARGH!!
OH MY GOD!!!! I dunno if I should cancel too or not!!!
I wanted to cancel but everybody's saying how the curve might be low this time so I'm still thinking about it but what if i get a really sucky score!??!!?
oh my god.............i really need that 750+ .....
Dunno what to do. So depressed. Hate Math.

personally i think the curve is going to be quite standard. the content wasn't hard, just time consuming. so best bet that it's gonna be 43 for 800. =((( 42 for 800 is pushing it.

and to think i used to be good at math.

i dont know...i just dont want to look dumb if i take it twice and dont go up!

i know. cause we cant just go up by 10~20 points......

ugh.

Just to be clear, the curve for Math II given as an example in the official SAT guide to subject tests (consisting of actual recent past tests) is:

Raw Score = (#Correct Answers) - (#Incorrect Answers * .25)

Test - Total Questions - Min. 800 raw score - Min. 700 raw score - Min. 600 raw score

Math II - 50 - 44 - 35 - 23

Based on this, 10 blanks and 4 wrong still nets a 700. A "softer" curve, of course, would be more generous still.

Unfortunately I left like 7 blank and probably got 5 wrong. No hope for me =|

That line question, wasn't it like all the space 2 units from a given "line"...if so, then it has to be 2 lines, 2 units from given line on either side, dosen't it?

Hey guys, I think we should get an answer list started, so i'll start off with everything that I remember, and correct me if I am wrong on anything and we'll all add on to it.

shape of object 2 units from a line in a space Cylinder

3 lines of a trianle on a coordinate plane, multiply their slopers 1/7

pyrimid with sqauare base ~8.25ish

stem and leaf plot 36.5

graph with equation, and it asked for shift 4 units to the right

b is greater than a, than f(b) is greater than f(a) for all values of x X^3

length of diagonal of parallelogram with sides 27 and 29 34?

the number of teams if each team plays each other once and there are 28 games 8 teams

Y/(2x-y)=something and X/(2y-x)=?" 11/29

what polor coordinate does NOT equal (1, pi/2) B**

-This is a starting list PLEASE add more so we can all reference and lemme know if nething is wrong

didn't they say that the polar coordinate one was (1, 13pi/4)?

I'm sorry. I asked this before, but that question where people were debating whether the answer was -1/7 or 1/7, wasn't the question asking for the sum and not the product? Because I remember writing down 1+ -1 + -1/7 in my book. Or was it asking for the product?

I am not sure, cuz if u do that u end up on the other side of the original point, whereas if u do -5pi/4 you end up in quadrant II

it was definitely product.

I thought it was product, but i'll put both up depending on sum or product, then ppl can come to a consensus later
