December 2007 World History

OKie/. Maybe iits just something else

So what do u guys think the curve gonna be?? IS this gonna be the same curve as the JUne 05 test coz i think the 2 tests are roughly the same. :P

answering post by post

daniel
76 was "what is the goal of hinduism?"
answer-to achieve moksha by ending the cycle of reincarnation
81 was "after ww1, why were african and asian leaders/countries upset with european nations?"
i believe that it was that they didnt grant them self determination
one of wilsons 14 points talked about the process of beginning self determination, but not actually administering it. so i think thats right. the other options were like stopping the spread of communism and stuff that doesnt really apply.
82 was like "what is the effect of the european trading with other nations"
and i think its like how the food is placed in different spots. ya know, transfer of animals, crops, etc. thats basically what trading did, if you didnt have it before, now you do.
the neolithic one-i think the question asked why did they have an increase in population, and i said it was because of their food. ya know, fruits and veggies are supposedly good for you. but i may be incorrect about the phrasing of the question.. thats just what i think it is.

ben- id think so. unless the curve is extremely vicious.
raws of 75-80 usually constitute the end of the 800 pool. somewhere along those lines. so do the math and see how far your score is away from that. caesar said that a raw of 67 was 750 in his cb book. so see how you fall.

fargo- the removal of emperor question is there. i just said "japan during us occupation" the african one is there, its towards the end, but i dont remember the q at all so i didnt know what to put. no mississippi question

and the kaplan curve is a lot less generous than the cb curve. id rather use the cb one, personally. :)
i dont have the cb book, but i used it for a test at the bookstore (didnt want to pay for it) and it was fairly lenient.

thanks michelle !

I remember 81 and 82, but I don't know about 76 ... however the answer seems pretty easy so I should have gotten it OK ..

you know this is really impressive, thanks to your initial recompilation we've got a lot of peace of mind ...

no prob. everyone benefits. if someone realized that they got 30 wrong and that they should cancel, then this is really helpful.
90/95 questions of the test recovered...wow.

i just wish id known about this place for my first sat2... it wasnt terrible, but a 690 is just a slap across the face.

another question: what was the difference between economic patterns of late 19th C and late 20th C?
I chose "more production outside europe/n.america"

and for the british india/africa, i chose "india didn't become a source of labor."

oh yeah! i remember that one, and i put the same answer.
thanks.
4 more

hey, could someone send me the complete list of the answers/questions? i really need to find out how i did (good or bad)

thanks in advance!

Tritium : hey, do u remeber the other choices for the question about the economic pattern also?/ Coz i dont know what i chose. I dont think i got the same answer as urs: About more production outside Ammerica?Europe.

GOsh, R u sure that its the right one?? MAybe i chose it, maybe i didnt. :((:((:((

Michelle: U took the SAT WHis before and u got 690??? Wasthat in JUne? I took it one and i got 640>: (::So bad coz i didnt study for it at all after i took the AP Cal BC+ WOrld History exam. :((
But my twin sis, she didnt study either and she got 750. :PDamn her. :((

I have one

Why does Right wing attract voters in Western Europe

Answer: Opposition to immigration

I really doubt about the difference between India and Africa. india did provide labors to the British. (That's where the coolies came from.

i remember something like that ... i don't remember what I chose though.

Btw what would my score if I got 12 wrong 1 omit?

according to kaplan, 790. 12 wrong gives you a raw score of 80, one omitted makes it 790. michelle says CB's curves are more generous though.

Yea Kaplan's curve is adjusted because I believe Kaplan is easier than the real SAT II (As in almost every test it prepares for) so it approximates your score more so by making a harder curve. According to CB, a raw score of 80 is an easy 800. (-2 more for a 790 on the hardest curve, -5 more for an 790 on the easiest curve seen)

I put "abolition of welfare state" for right-wing attraction one.

hey rootbeercaesar, what's CB's score for a 73 raw ?

hey could someone send me the answer sheet that we've compiled so far?

grazie

I got abolition of welfare state for right-wing question as well.

foargo-no, this was my first time taking world history. i took bio last time.

and i dont remember that question, does anyone remember other choices?

are there different test versions or something?cuz this is the second question of which i have absolutely no recollection
