Yeah, thought i’d get 2100+ pretty comfortably but seems not. At least it is only my first attempt and I have time to retake.

Just get the 2011 edition (two books). Not that expensive for what it is. and you get 400+ words which appear really often. For the toughest words on the SAT, you can always find that on internet. Also, maybe you could find used books on Amazon.com.

If the prompts differ by region, how come my friend and I had completely different tests? We were discussing the CR prompts and Math problems and we literally had nothing in common.

wow gensis stop ■■■■■■■■.

To my knowledge the harshest SAT Math curve was that of January. -3 was a 720, -2 740, -1 770. Had the -1 been 760 anyway. I think it’s going to be similar this month (Didn’t take the test though, just going off what my friends said.)

That March reading curve seems insanely unforgiving. Glad I did the test in November. -4 (3 wrong) was a 780. Christ. 720? Seriously? Wow.

Yeah, especially seeing as it wasn’t the easiest CR out there.

That totals to a -4 point decrease adding the .25 for each wrong. Then what’s score for -3?

Wait, do you mean buy both books?
Core Vocab is volume I, and Toughest Vocab is volume II.

It is December 21st.

I was given this same test from March 2008, March Sunday 2010, and October 2010 International SAT for this December. I think I missed 2 grid ins and 1 multiple choice. That should be a 720 for math. I think I missed 1 or 2 in the last writing section so hopefully that can still be an 800 with a 12 essay. And I think I missed 5 on the reading. People who took this test in october of 2010 and sunday of march of this year, was the critical reading for sure better than the march 2008? And what was the writing like? Do you think -5 can be a 720-740?

Wow, there were 2 Saturday versions again as well as an international and Sunday test. I have started tutoring some students that can’t afford private tutors at my sons’ school and this information is so helpful. Thank you for your continued interest in this.

There are 2 books and I just saw that they have eBook versions now that are less expensive than the paperback books.

Curves are not predetermined unless the test is identical to a previously administered test, in which case the curve is also identical. In math, for example, all three math subsections would have to be the same as in the previous test; a repeat of only one or two of the sections means that the math curve would be different.

Buy both Volume I and Volume II.

All right. I will look for the eBook versions. I will try to buy both! Thanks!

Do you think -2 will be 800 for CR?

How about -1 for math? (version w/ question about finding the value of A)

how many can you miss for math to get a 700? Maybe -3/-4 or is that way too lenient?

Oh sorry, I rhought they were both part of the same thing and that you had a separate “toughest vocab” book. But buy both if you can, it’s a really great investment!
