December 2010-SAT II Biology E/M

That is moderately reassuring.

For the question with the question with chromosomes separating strangely because they are stuck or w/e. Which one did you guys get?

ack! I thought I was replying to the other post. Trying to find way to quote the other one, all well. What was the question saying about thyroxine then?

It was negative feedback circuit.

lol thank god I knew all the diagrams-I’m a visual learner and guessed everything right based on instinct/logical reasoning!

I omitted 4. I don’t think I got more than 15 wrong AT THE VERY MAX (as in, I really, really messed up bigggggg time), but I probably got less than 10 wrong-what score would this be?

For the chromosome, I put the one that was on the bottom of the five choice, the very bottom.

What’s everyone’s expected score? Can anyone predict it yet?

yes I put that too. I narrowed it down to that one which looked kinda like an arrow and the second from the top one.

^second from top isn’t the very bottom

I said i had it narrowed to the second from the top and the one you picked and said I picked the same one that you picked.

Yalefan that’s what i put as well.

I’m still unsure about the tree decomposition. I thought the amount of insects would be modeled by bell curve. Insects do help in decomposition, so wouldn’t the bell curve make sense?

"When a tree dies, it is immediately invaded by specialized groups of organisms (insects, nematodes, fungi, etc.) that aid/accelerate the decomposition process " ([Microorganisms and the Decomposition Process](http://el.erdc.usace.army.mil/emrrp/emris/emrishelp3/microorganisms_and_the_decomposition_process_snag_pac.htm))

^oh right sorry. I just slept after coming back from testing. Still in the dozing phase :)

I’m still ****ed at myself for not remembering that a whale is a mammal. That’s probably two wrong questions for a stupid mistake.

I think I’ll get at least a 700. How many more points after that- I have no clue.

I think you read the question wrong…or maybe i read the question wrong lol

Hopefully, I get 750+. I need it. The val has a 770. I am the Sal. Competition ftw

From the question for estrogen did you get all three. I knew that it was def. I and III but there was no option for that they only had I, II, and III so I chose that.

^it was indeed all three.

It inhibited the production of androgen and testostorone.

woooooot!

anyone remember anything else?

yay!^^ haha oh crap i failed @ the whale-did not know that until now
do you think international & US versions are different?

^no they’re not.

okay, cool. Did anyone take E? I thought the questions were kind of tough, I think I skipped 2 in the E section and 2 in the E/M section.
