i thought they were kept in the dark

i specifically remember it said the petri dishes were placed on their EDGE and not flat so i put gravity for that one. And also it can’t be light because they were in the dark.

yes thats what i put too

I put gravity as well, since the petri dish was on its edge

Did you guys put corn syrup as the control?

What question was the corn syrup one?

So here are the tough questions I remember: (Not Exact Wording)

What is dietary salt(NaCl) important for: I put something about the circulatory and lymphatic system.

The Petri Dish on the edge: Definitely gravitropism - there is no other reason to have the petri dish on its edge

The Phosphate question: I don’t remember all the choices or the one I put down. If anyone remembers could you please post it. Thanks in advance.

What did the plants need to have before moving from the water to land: I put the waxy cuticle because I think it prevents excess transpiration and evaporation from occurring or something like that. It was definitely between sexual production and the waxy cuticle though.

What was Gregor Mendel known for: I put that he was known for the quantitative experiment he performed because if I remember correctly he wasn’t the first to experiment with plants and genetics.

What would a reptile excrete in a hot dry environment: I put urea but it could have been uric acid, i wasn’t so sure on that one.

reptiles definitely secrete uric acid.

Yeah it is uric acid.

And for the phosphorus question. It was like:
Available in trace amounts in the environment
Easily extracted from ocean sediments
Inorganic phosphate is found from weathering rocks
And something about detergent

as for NaCl i put something about neurons or the nervous system

Didn’t the phosphorus question have an answer choice that was like: decomposed into the soil or smth :S

I think I got the phosphorous question wrong. I put the one related to least found on earth/seabed or something but detergents containing phosphates should be the answer right? They destroy biodiversity at least according to Google.

General section:

1)Phototropism
2)Photoperiodism
3)Phototaxis
4)Amino acid
5)TRNA
6)Phosphorus is not readily available in ocean
7)The two fishes are most closely related (forgot the names)
8) nervous system for the NaCl
9) both have exoskeletons
10) there is no effect on rats less than 10 days old
11) 15 degrees Celsius
12) gravity
13) touch
14) cellualr hormonal level growth (question about the cause of plant growth)
15) 1400 (molecular section)
16) H2O is not completely used in photosynthesis
17) 6 carbon molecules are used in photosynthesis
18) dominant allele
19) incomplete dominance
20) simple dominance
21) Uric Acid
22) Corn syrup was a control
23) Detergents lower diversity???
24) Cause of increase in CO2: Burning of fossil fuels
25) Tree nail question: it was the first choice about how the tree grows
26) Yeast question: yeast is not autotrophic
27) Influenza question: virus
28) which one does not have a nucleus: an answer choice with bacteria
29) Cell was in metaphase
30) Mendel: quantitative experiments
31) Cause of down syndrome was non dysjunction
32) Pedigree question about two brothers: individual x is their sister
33) pedigree question: parent 5 and 6
34) the child will be type O
35) oxidizer: cellular respiration
36) photosynthesis
37) Both cellular respiration and photosynthesis
38) Impossible to tell the 5’ cap thing
39) Plant evolution was the waxy cuticle

So far we have this. Do you guys approve of these answers? Add more if you remember.

To add to the list.

40) mutualism
41) commensalism
42) mutualism

I think your 6 and 23 are both for the phosphorous question. I still think it’s the detergent answer.
Also, your 32, was that the one where it asked about the two squares with the diagonal lines? Because the answer to that one was that they’re twin brothers. I looked it up to make sure, and the diagonal lines indicate twins.

Adding to the list:
43) parasite and decomposer (what is a fungi)
44) many birds with large beaks (directional selection one)

oh sorry. didn’t see that. And, did the two brothers have a diagonal line going through each of them? Do you remember an answer choice having to do with their sister for that question?

yea I also got that the two brothers were twins because there was no other explanation and it looked logical enough.

48)
WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!

For 46 I put oocyte and sperm are haploid.

Mendel is also known for his pea plant crosses.
