The question which of the following has the set of solutions 1, -3(i think
II: x(x-1)(x+3)
III: (x-1)(x+3)
i choose III only, because i felt the set required only the solutions, am i correct?

@thewindisblowing It is a pivotal transition. A pivot is a main or central point things rotate around. In literary context, a pivotal transition indicates that the sentence “Then they were free” separates two parts of a narrative by introducing a new ‘twist’ to the plot, or taking it in a new direction. The passage switched from Ria’s apprehension over the visit and her boyfriend’s interaction with her family to a completely different setting and emotions involved (namely, the house he lives in).
Furthermore, for it to be a metaphor, the passage has to somehow allude to the fact that they felt ‘trapped’, since that is what the word ‘free’ implies. However, there is no indication of any such thing. In fact, the passage clearly states that her boyfriend was met warmly by her family (which was startling to her) and that they were having fun playing that board game.
@bkmaester I do not recall that question. Do you remember the answer choices?
@bkmaester I think it’s both ii and iii I put this and am pretty sure
@bkmaester correct! i reviewed this one day before the sat. If they ask for the “set” no more and no “less” the EXACT same. nice job man looks like you did really good.
EDIT: Its 2(x-1)(x+3) btw. Same thing but just saying
@bkmaester it was only III because it said the SAME solutions while II had 0, 1 and -3 and III didn’t have 0
@InfinityMan it had answers like danny was worried about his future. danny was confident with ria, ect
@Omaryamout and @Sully99, Thanks, What a relieve, i got all worked up for nothing, This SAT is stressing me out,
@bsdsj22 @bkmaester Thanks for predicting!
Guys in the cube question where A and B are on opposite verticies, there are 6 15inch ways from a to b right?
@Omaryamout : right, 6 ways.
2300+ looks hopeful now with a 800 math and no wrong vocab cr section
How much are you all expecting ?
@cfcsjmishra haha how can you know you got no wrong in CR without discussion?
Because i knew all the words and they were pretty straightforward. (except that experimental section one)
congrats, you must be a genius!
ya @cfcsjmishra hope you the best looks like you deserve it
Why the answer of Ria’s attitude is forced civility? I personally chose conceal suspicion since Ria isworried about Danny won’t approve of her house or put up with the food.
it was forced civility because she did stuff she didn’t like
Which of the following equation has the same set of solutions as
(x+3)(x-1)=0
I.(x+3)(x+1)=0
II.x(x+3)(x-1)=0
III.2(x+3)(x-1)=0
I only
II only
III only
II and III only
I, II and III
the answer is III only
@thewindisblowing
You said you got a math question wrong about parallel lines? Which one was it? Could you please describe it? I’m scared I got it wrong too! Also, could you guys PLEASE describe the ‘shark’, 28, 29 questions because I have no recollection of them whatsoever.
