So I got a 1510 on the December SAT, which is a major improvement from my last one. My breakdown was 800 in math and 710 in EBRW.
I was surprised about my EBRW score because it felt super hard while I was taking it. When I looked at the question breakdowns, it says I got 39 correct and 13 incorrect! That’s literally getting 3 out of 4 right. How did I get a 710 on the EBRW section?
I’m considering doing a SAS just because I’m curious. That EBRW might seem low, but if I superscore my EBRW comes to a 740, making a 1540 overall. Thoughts and opinions?
710 means you scored higher than a bit over 97% of test takers. So a bit over 97% got more than 13 wrong. If that’s a higher score than typical for that number wrong, then the test was harder than normal. So you seem to have been right.
If true, CCers are very good at posting about “brutal curves”. I wonder if we get any “benevolent curve” threads. (And neither really matters).
Have you taken it three or more times? Saying it’s a major improvement but having a superscore that is higher only makes sense if the highest score was before the two mentioned.
@RichInPitt No, I’ve taken it twice in total and my math score improved by 70 points so I was able to get over the 1500+ threshold. I was only surprised because a 710 seems like a high score for getting so many wrong.
