December International SAT takers

So how did you feel the harsh curve treated you? I got 670 math, 670 writing and 630 crit reading...a real shock considering I never got <700 on any section in all the blue book tests.

I'll most probably consider standby this January. How did you do?

CR 740 (I was really surprised by this, but I have a 780 from October, so no big deal; probably missed two or three questions, idk)
M 770 (!!! This is incredible for me. I’m so bad at math it’s unreal.)
W 790 (MC 80; E 9 :expressionless: 800 from October, though, so no big deal either)

So, 2300/2350 superscored.

680 CR, 710 W, 700 M.

Basically, I think my low Math score ruins my chances. Does anyone know if doing the January test date can help you at all?

jackinthebox, that’s what i thought too! writing and math weren’t as bad, but i felt the critical reading scores came out rather low (congrats to people who got 800 CR and all, but regardless it felt very low)

i’ve legitimately taken all the blue book CR tests from this year’s book and last year’s, and i get 700-740 on each one. i worked on a released copy of a test that had actually been administered in 2010 and got 750 as well.

my CR score dropped roughly 100 points since then, which i find rather ridiculous. that 750 was from a real test, and to not even pass the 700 bar on the one that got sent to collegeboard frustrates me so much.

from what i’ve heard the january tests are much easier, but their curves aren’t as strong. i noticed that all the kids who score really well take it in january. you could argue they were apt to begin with and i wouldn’t disagree, but nevertheless they score higher in january. but then again, starting from the october test of this year cb has been pulling some really nasty tricks on us so who knows.

My scores are not available Yet !! !! I’m gonna CRYYYYY :S
is there anyone who know why are they delayed ?

Yeah, I’m hoping this is the case. I know I didn’t perform as well as I usually do in terms of raw score, but the nasty curves just accentuated it I guess. I was aiming for 700 in each, and I think I’d be happy with 2100 as It’s a respectable score for the colleges I’m realistically aiming for (NYU, UVA etc.)

But yeah I went in getting a 2200+ score on the practice paper the day before, so I’m just surprised CB pulled this. Definitely gonna check all the recent past questions for the Jan exam as well, could be an easy 2400 if one turns up again.

what was the curve ?
anyone can tell us ?

bump

trying to figure out the CR curve, -2 here = 780

hi, for cr my friend got 3 wrong and got a 740. i got 6 wrong and got a 710 wow i’m so thankful i got a 700+

CR: 740. I was really shocked by this one. I always thought that -3 was a 780-ish since -2 is still a perfect score. Sadly, -3 is a 740 in this case.

Math: 680. -5. sadness.

Writing: 780. 77MC | 10 Essay. I’m content with this one though.

I don’t know what’s up with the CR curve on the test, it seems so unwarrantably harsh. The passages weren’t easy, either! What the hell, Collegeboard?..
