What if I didn't rush the scores but it was included in the initial school report? Would the college receive the scores on time? Ahhh, sorry but this is freaking me out. I don't want to study my ass off for the Feb. test and realize that the colleges aren't even going to look at the score because it came in late.

First off, in theory, yes.

But as always, it really all depends on which school it is. If they say that the last possible test day is the Feb. date, then by all means STOP WORRYING. If they say they need the scores reported by March 1st, you should still be ok, as Feb. 21-22 is long before March, but there is always a minute chance something will go wrong with scoring. But understand, this is highly unlikely.

My advice? Take the test. Everything will go fine and they will receive it by March, 1st. Even if they get it a few days or even a week after that, do you think they really care? No. They won't throw it away if it comes March 2nd.

That's comforting to know. Thanks =]

are these scores completely accurate? I did much better than I thought

Oh wow. Yes. Just because you got them early, doesn't mean they are for some reason inaccurate.

i just got my scores

Composite- 28
English- 28
Math- 30
Reading- 25 (aww)
Science- 27 (whoa haha)

Did you have your scores yesterday, chicken?

i honestly thought i received a 32-34. my composite was a 26, i could not believe this score when i logged in to see my score, is there anyway the testing service could have made a mistake or anything of that sort?

Everyone needs to quit whining.

Yes, it is remotely possible that they screwed up, but it is more than likely an error on your end. If you are thinking there is a mix up just because you were able to access the score early, you are incorrect. Every time we have used this hack it has turned out to be accurate.

My advice is to get it hand-scored because you probably misgridded:
ACT FAQ : I don't think my test was scored correctly; can I have it hand-scored?

I just got my scores. I am currently a junior and this is my first time taking any test (ACTs/SATs).

C: 30
E: 31
M: 32
R: 31
S: 26

I was so worried because I thought I totally screwed up the science, but I'm really excited I got a 30 on my first try. :D

Thanks for sharing the hack used to get the scores early!

@mr. president

1)Theres a very small possibility that ACT messed up but its more likely that it was a gridding error on your part. You could get it handscored, however handscoring only accounts for errors on the scanatron thing and not for misbubbling or bad bubble marks.

2)Another possiblility is that you overestimated your own ability

Maybe you should post the scores you got for each section and what you thought you got in each section.

@ joli.haute

@ joli.hauter no i didnt

Ah, I'm freaking out again. Any chance my Feb. ACT scores + writing can be reported to the colleges by March. 1st (deadline)?

Mika, you seriously just need to shut up. How many times does one have to go into indepth explanation that THEY WILL GET THE SCORES ON TIME!

Besides, you have no right to be freaking out when they haven't even officially released the scores online! I mean seriously everyone, sit back and relax. If you don't have your scores by Saturday morning, then you can start freaking out. But only barely.

Relax!

I love you. I needed that slap in the face. X]
(Though I'm skeptical about how the colleges can be notified about my scores in time. It takes 2 weeks for the multiple choice answers to appear online, and then about another 2 weeks for the writing score to show up - according to the ACT website; main reason why I'm freaking out)

Just be sure to post here often come February when I am hyper-ventilating. ;] lol.

I was only concerned about the accuracy of the scores because I got an 18 in both subsections of reading but only got a 35

"only got a 36"

umm... you realize that 36 is the highest score right? 18+18 = 36 also.
idk how you guys score so well.... honestly

what are u talking about an 18 in both sub scores of reading means you got a 36...which is the highest possible score so you can't really get only a 36

I'm sorry I meant a 35
