December Test Scores are up!!

nretni, you need to relax a little yourself. if people want to freak out, it's who they are. if you lend them some rationality and they continue, then it's not your problem.

Sweet trick,
Composite: 32
Reading:30
English:30
Math:34
Science:35

1 more point in any section would have given me a 33, oh well

Is it possible to get an 18 on both subsections of reading and still end up with a 35?

Touche, forizzlejdl. I guess I'm just anxious for my scores as well.

understandable hahaha

I registered standby and the website has not even updated to show that I took the test. Is this normal? Thanls

@ricorodriguez

"We compute your seven subscores (Usage/Mechanics, Rhetorical Skills, etc.) in the same way, but subscores range from 1 (low) to 18 (high). There is no direct, arithmetic relationship between subscores and test score—this means your subscores usually won't add up to your test score."

My English subscores don't add up to my English composite either. If they did, it would round up my Composite to another point. boooo

I got a 28 eng(without essay atm), 32 math, 28 reading, 26 science. Which is a composite score of 29. It's an average of 28.5 actually. I was wondering whats the lowest score I could get on the essay so that my composite score would round down to a 28?

Shouldn't everyone who tooks it have their scores online tomorrow or is it never that way?

The writing is not part of the overall composite

You get a writing score from a scale of 2 to 12, and then a separate combined composite of your English and writing subscores. The English + writing combined score is also on a scale of 1 to 36.

@Pistolen08, thanks for the response. The only thing thats disconcerting is that my friend got also got a 35 on reading but he got a 18 and 17 on the subsections. It just seems unlikely that you can get a perfect score for each subsection and end up with a 35.

@ricorodriguez-the same thing happened to me (18 on each subsection of the reading test, but only a 35 total); it doesn't make sense to me that you can have two perfect subscores, yet get a less than perfect total score-I'll probably call ACT tomorrow (when the scores are up legitimately) and see what's up.

@ arachnophobia12 & ricorodriguez,
I also got two 18's and a 35 on Reading.

this "trick" did not work for me and now it is too late@!

dang. I just missed it by 8 minutes. oh well. not a big deal.

Well
It was my 3rd time taking the ACT
30 First time
32.5 the second
and 34.5 the third (this time) wooo 35! When I saw it I must saw I was dumbfounded
34 English (-1)
36 math (+1)
35 reading (+2 or 3 or seomthing)
33 science (+4)
GOSH How I love rounding

take THAT 2230 and Collegeboard!

too bad its too late for my early school rejection
Now I need to wait for the Writing to be posted so I can finish sending my apps

braaap what stategies have you used to improve?

Composite: 33
English: 33
Math: 29
Reading: 35
Science: 34

Didn't even finish the math section, so I'm really happy with the 29.

does anyone have their wrting scores yyet? and when do we get them?

I haven't received my scores yet...I know it says they'll be available from anytime between the 19th and the 21st but the last time my scores were available on the first day. Has this happened to anyone else?
