I’m thinking about studying business in the northeast, and so far, I’ve got a few schools, but I’m thinking I should add a few last-minute schools to apply to just in case.
My reach schools are Wharton (ED), BU (Reg.) and NYU (Reg.). Rutgers (New Brunswick) is a target, and Drexel is a safety. I’m considering Northeastern as a reach as well, but kind of eh on that one.
I want an urban environment (preferably one that isn’t super intense-- kind of like Philly, but Boston and NYC are still okay). My family income is around $200K so I’m probably not going to get much financial aid-- but I’d like to know if there are any decent business schools that aren’t as expensive as NYU and BU (because I’m probably not going to be attending those due to cost) and are still located in an urban environment.
Okay, well your stats change the the tier of business schools that have been suggested so far. I know that some of these are a bit outside of the northeast, but they are excellent business schools.
Cornell, UVA, BC, UNC, UMich, CMU, GTown, Northeastern, Villanova, Lehigh, Penn State (Schreyer)
Syracuse has a higher ranked business program than a couple on your list, is in a mid-sized city that also works as a college town, and could be manageably priced if you are awarded a merit scholarship.
Bentley University in Waltham is supposed to have a strong undergraduate business curriculum? The coop program through Drexel is also supposed to be very good.
definetly replace Rutgers with TCNJ as it has a way better business school ranking and its accounting program is #20
in the nation. Also with your stats you would be in the honors program and that could mean merit money as well.
Tuition will be half of the cost of places like Bentley, upenn, nyu, bu etc. And it is very well know in the tri state area.
@stones3 TCNJ does not have a way better business school ranking vs Rutgers. They are extremeely comparable. I might actually give an edge to Rutgers as it places way better in NYC
