Decent Grades but Bomb the SAT?

<p>Wheaton has gotten very selective; it's also very near Stonehill and both are too close to home. She's pretty much ruled out anything in Eastern Mass, unless it's <em>in</em> Boston.</p>

<p>BTW, if anyone with a B+ kid is reading this, Stonehill is a wonderful school and worth checking out. I really wish D would consider it, although I can understand her desire to get "away" for college. I'm sure there are more Stonehills out there though; perhaps in going thru some of the suggestions in this thread I'll find them. Maybe Drew?</p>

<p>Your D sounds similar to mine, but my D had much lower PSAT scores and wound up with an 1800+ SAT.</p>

<p>As for schools, Bard is a possibility; it is in NY. </p>

<p>But it sounds like she is on track for UMassAmherst.</p>
