Decent SAT score for Hghschool freshman

I am taking precalc and honors American Literature this semester. How well do you think I'm doing as my first SAT test is 1860? cr520 m790 wr550

Thanks!

Awesome! The math score is as good as it gets and the other two are not an issue at this early stage. After sitting through a couple English classes and writing a few essays, you should be able to perform pretty well overall.

Math is great. However, you’re a freshman. Don’t worry about it too much.

I’ll keep trying! Thank you!

Man you must be aiming for a perfect if you are already starting to prepare for the SAT… I think that’s great… but mostly focus on the SAT and ACT during the summer. You don’t want those tests to get in the way of your high school life until sophomore year… Precalc for a freshman is amazing!! I am a junior and am taking Honors Advanced Functions and Trigonometry and you did fantastic on math! Great Job! I suggest you work on the CR. it is usually the hardest to increase… that’s from my own personal experience…

First of all, congratulations. Now, let’s raise those CR and WS scores: Read The New Yorker and lots of books that interest you. Also read this for the grammar section: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/955109-silverturtles-guide-sat-admissions-success.html

I took the SAT my freshmen year and got a 710 on math, a 690 on reading and, like you, a 550 on writing.

In 2 years, I improved my writing score to an 800, so that is possible and you can do it.

You have very nice scores. However, I have never seen any1 with a math score of 790 as the curve usually brings 1 miss/skip down to 770.

I know several people with 790s

Yep, my son got a 790 on the 5/5 SAT…We have to wait until 5/29 to see a detailed report…
