Deciding on a career path

Hello everyone, I am relatively new to this forum and I have a somewhat broad question for anyone who might be able to offer some insight. I am beginning my junior year at a well-reputed liberal arts school in the northeast. My GPA is high, my extracurriculars are pretty numerous, and my interests lie in medicine. I've known for a long time that it was the field I would like to get into, but now I'm really up in the air between med school, dental school, and pharmacy school. I really enjoy chemistry, so pharma. research is a possibility, but I think I would far prefer to work with patients more directly.

Thus far I've spent time in the offices of my oral surgeon and my dentist and was far more interested in the surgery. My school sets up clinical internships with students, but we need to have a good idea of what type of doctor we would like to shadow. I really enjoyed observing surgery, but I'd like to know what peoples' general opinions are regarding areas of medicine I might want to consider as a somewhat introverted, but very personable student.

Thanks so much.
