My goal is to have three decent SAT subject test scores, although I probably will be applying only to colleges which require two. (I just want to be on the safe side though in choosing to take three!) So far, I am set on one subject test but I'm having some er...issues deciding on other ones. In June I took the US history and math level 1 exams - my first time with the subject tests and while I'm very happy about my US score of 780, I expected a much lower score for the math 1 and am almost pleasantly surprised with my score of 690. This is not atypical for me, as my SAT I math score(s) are slightly lower than this. I am planning to retake the math level 1 exam with some more prep (for the math level 1 subject test AND the SAT I math). Here is the part where I have problems deciding on a third exam. Originally I was planning to take the literature test in the fall because I have always scored fairly well on the SAT I critical reading section (740 versus 670 for math in May). Yet, err...I have heard about the difficulties of the literature exam and I do not feel my English class this past year has really adequately prepared me for a literature exam. So...I was thinking about taking chemistry, which I swore I would never ever take. :) I have taken chemistry this past year, but I would still need to pick up a fair amount of information over the summer (not to mention retain the information I learned over the school year!). Should I take both the literature exam and the chemistry exam, or just one? If I took both, I would have taken 4 subject test exams altogether. (Note: I am not planning on applying to any sort of engineering college so I do not think it would be necessary to submit a science exam.) If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it! :D (Sorry about the wordiness of this post!)
