Deciding

As of now, I have been accepted at 4 very differnt universities, and I really need some help deciding, based on both aid and what CCers think these schools have to offer to me. I plan on majoring in something along the lines of geography/philosophy/history:

*along with eac hschool, I listed the estimated costs and the merit aid I have already recieved

Virginia Commonwealth University (in-state)
cost ~ $20,000 aid ~ none yet

Aquinas College
cost ~ $26,000 aid ~ $10,000 (with full possibly on the way)

St. John's University
cost ~ $40,000 aid ~ $17,000

University of South Dakota
cost ~ $12,000 aid ~ $6,500

so waddya think?

are you a candidate for need-based aid?

Saint Johns seems like the best deal (almost 50% off for a reputable private school), and the location is probably the most exciting.

Otherwise I'd do VCU (in-state tuition should only be $6,000?). Richmond is a great historical city.
