Hey guys, really too lazy and too busy to check the threads and can’t find it online, so is there a time that it should be coming out?
From what I can tell, 3 pm Pacific Time. Or, 6 pm Eastern Time.
The website promises the release date to be April 1. But, for the past two years, it’s been a couple days before that. They announce the “new” date usually two days before decisions are actually released.
However, the trend appears to be the last Friday of March. It was on 3/29/13 and 3/28/14. Both of those days were the last weekday of March. This year, the last Friday is the third to last weekday of March. If I had to bet, I would say they’re going to do it this Friday (the last Friday of March) so students/parents have the weekend to cool off and decide not to call in and whine.
tldr: They’re probably going to announce tomorrow (Wednesday, 3/25) at 4 pm PT (or 7 pm ET) that the release date will be on Friday, 3/27 at 3 pm PT (or 6 pm ET).
@snappletop yeah that sounds right. But don’t they usually announce their decisions the day after the ‘ivy day’?
@jasonkos I’m not sure. I didn’t look up the Ivies’ dates for past years. That being said, their day is March 31 this year.
If Stanford does as you say, the release date would actually be on April 1 this year.
Or maybe it’s just a coincidence. idk. Just hoping stanford does it this friday
