It looks like "likely letter", i think. In front of letter, the word "FAT" is written..
ANYONE GOT THIS ?</p>
<p>...they wrote FAT in front of the letter...what? i think decisions should be out within the next 2-3 days. according to past trends...but you'll only be able to check online in a week. if you're international, unless you faxed that dhl express form back to them, the letter by snail mail will take a WHIIIILE.</p>

<p>Decision arrived today in a FAT very large envelope ("this is the official FAT envelope" or something like that printed on the envelope) which I haven't opened because I have to wait for DD .... anyway, just wanted everyone to know, they are definitely in the mail.</p>

<p>I got my decision today. I checked my status online and it says nothing. I live about 2 hours away from pittsburgh.</p>
<p>Does financial aid/scholarship/housing info come with the acception letter?</p>
<p>Last year the "Your Official Financial Aid Response" was postmarked 3/25. FYI on timing we requested a review of the $0 aid and got an updated letter with a small scholarship postmarked 4/20. Housing came a couple of months later.</p>
<p>couldn't access "status page"; dd accepted to MCS and CIT; it came regular mail; no fin.aid/housing/scholarship info in package. just a request for a $600 deposit :) & we live just north of pgh.</p>
<p>Not sure if this means anything:
1) My intended major was changed two days ago (it had been incorrect, but not significantly enough that I would have notified them). Not sure how/why they would have noticed.
2) My status page was down for a few hours this morning. I got a message telling me that it was unavailable at the moment when I tried to log in.</p>
<p>just tried to login and get status - reply was: Error getting data - but it showed my son's name, ID#, and DOB....
???</p>

<p>that's strange, i can get in and most of the people on this thread can't. I hope that is not a bad sign.</p>
<p>So the deal with things that say "FAT letter"-</p>
<p>Typically you want to get a fat letter from a college, since an acceptance letter will come with all sorts of information- a skinny letter will be a reject because it's just one sheet. CMU writes "official FAT letter" on its acceptance stuff because, well, it's an official fat letter from CMU, and they think it's funny.</p>
