Am I obligated to attend WUSTL if I am accepted through waitlist?

No. Good luck!

thankyouall - No obligation with a WL. If you are offered a place from the WL, you will be given a reasonable period of time to either accept or reject the offer. If you accept, then you will be asked to forward a deposit to confirm your acceptance.

Would there be any financial aid for waitlisted applicants?

All decided on an individual basis, but certainly possible. Also, as I just posted on another thread, look for the WL to be quite active this year.

The letter says that they hope that there would be financial aid left. So maybe?

(Also waitlisted.)

Where are you guys find this information???

It says check admission status as one of the links.

I'm In!!!
there were 23000+ applicants and 1400 were accepted. I feel so lucky!

again, 23,000+* applicants.

for 1400 spots! (that means more than 1400 were accepted)

^ But not many more, I would guess. They probably accepted about 1400, and then waitlisted everyone else. They'll take as many as they need to fill holes.

^^^haha that is not how things work at all. It's no secret that WashU is desperate for a high yield, but that methodology simply isn't plausible. Even HYP admit at least ~20-30 percent more people than can fit in their class.
