Decision is via email?

I was relieved to see Harvard decided to notify people via email instead of having an online login thing… i’m so worried some of the other university systems are going to get clogged around 5pm ET and crash/become extremely slow

for those of u glad about hte subject line, dont forget abou tthe preview line that is the default for most email services.

Have my preview setting disabled :)

Hotmail doesn’t have preview lines. Sometimes Microsoft’s outdated software comes in handy.

^ And even if the systems do, like Gmail, you can squeeze your eyes shut and just look at the subject or sender :P

Anywho, what does the subject even say? “MOMENT OF TRUTH”? :P

^, or you can change your email settings and spare yourself the squinting.

I agree. I always tend to forget my login information for each online account.

How the hell do you DISABLE PREVIEWS IN GMAIL?

Sender: Harvard College Office of Admissions & Financial Aid college@fas.harvard.edu
Subject Line: Your application to Harvard College
Send Time: Sent at 5:03 PM

That was for last year, FYI. Good luck guys!

-find “Settings” on the upright corner and click on it
-go to the General tab
-find “Snippets” and choose “No snippets - Show subject only.”
-click “Save Changes”

:)

Thanks Vortar…
Done.
What a relief… :)

thanks, vortar. my snippets are off now. :)

my northwestern decision email simply said “Northwestern Application - Status Update” so i thought it was an email telling me login info lol.

Just disabled it as well… Is gonna be so tense :)

its just an email (from Harvard)… dont be scared!

If you have gmail you could just go to m.gmail.com (the mobile versioj). No previews there…

I’ve gotten used to not looking at previews because I hate them. I always enjoy being surprised by email.

this is pretty obscure, but does anyone know if the decision email is sent as an HTML file? because i can get email on my phone, but i can’t read it if it’s HTML. i just know it’ll be torture if i can see that it’s the decision email but can’t read it until i get home about 3 hours after the decision comes out haha.

In my experience, decisions are viewable on the phone. Mine looked different on phone than on laptop though.

Nota bene: My experience is with the other college in the other Cambridge. IE: Cambridge. So, it may have very different emailing practices.

just a lil more than 4 days away
