When are decisions emailed?

<p>The application says by Dec. 15, but does anyone know the exact day?</p>

<p>This has been discussed in numerous other threads, but here it is again:</p>

<p>The letters are sent out on the 15th (so you will not get them that day), but an email decision will be sent out December 14th after 5.</p>

<p>What do you think it should be - Greenwich Mean Time? Harvard is international, but not THAT international.</p>

<p>Someone in the Harvard office...I called....said it is emailed at midnight. If true would this be the midnight that "feels" like the 13th or the midnight of the 14th that is really the 15th?:)</p>

<p>Last year, the emails were sent at 5pm. My son received his at about 5:15 or 5:20. Could be that they go alphabetical by last name.</p>

<p>According to my sources, it's 5 PM EST, December 14th.</p>

<p>I got the December 14th date from a recent Crimson article, and the 5 PM EST comes from a close friend.</p>

<p>"The Early Action Admissions Committee will begin considering the candidates today and plans to finish its deliberations on Dec. 9. </p>

<p>Students who have requested electronic notifications will receive e-mails from the admissions office on Dec. 14.
