Decision letter mailed = rejection?

when you check the status of an application and it reads "decision letter mailed" does this usually mean youve been rejected?

It seems that the only thing you can do is wait this out. Remember acceptances come as letters too  No mail service today, so the waiting is a little longer.

keeping fingers crossed for you.

What law school did you apply to?

Usually, no. It just means your decision is in the mail. Some schools will tell you that your decision has been made through their online status checkers but won’t give you the actual decision electronically (Georgetown). It depends on the school, however, because some schools (i.e. Penn, Chicago) make phone calls for acceptances, so you can figure out your decision after a few days without getting a call.
